Life Recently

Y’all, I counted it up and I figured out that in the last 12 months, I’ve been traveling one week less than 5 months. That’s kinda a lot of traveling. Here are some of the places I’ve been during the year, many of them multiple times:
Hawaii
Florida
Tennessee
Georgia
Colorado
North Carolina
Kentucky
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Indonesia
In 2014 alone, I’ve already been to my adopted parents (to write a book), Florida, Tennessee, and Indonesia. In fact, so far I’ve been gone 59 out of 98 days. That means I’ve only been home 39 days in 2014. Ok, ok, I know. I just keep giving y’all facts and statistics, that’s because I like facts, statistics, patterns, and lists… 🙂

So, talking about lists, I thought I’d give y’all a list of some of the things I’ve been enjoying while in Indonesia for a month:

1. Getting to hang out with my friends I came to visit
2. Climbing a mountain twice, once in the day time, once at night
3. Eating rice almost every day, sometimes twice a day
4. Editing my Action Kid’s book and sending it to my editor
5. The mode of transportation
6. Memory-making talks
7. Trying new foods
8. Playing Rook most nights
9. Learning to think in new ways during family devotions
10. A certain fun day when my brother took me and some friends out to eat

And of course there is more I could say, but as is often the case, it’s getting late here (10:30 pm) and therefore I will end this. What have y’all been up to, truly, I would be delighted to hear (read)!

And just why is Texas not on that list? 🙂 You have definitely been a busy bee this year. I'm glad you're getting to enjoy yourself after so many years of being ill. And I'm certainly enjoying reading about it. Have a great day!! Or night, at the time that I'm typing this.

Sounds like you're having happy, full days in Indonesia. Wow, climbing a mountain in the day AND the night? That's amazing!

    Have a great day!

Okay, first of all – I love the Indonesia pictures! So beautiful!!

But I have a real question. With all these pictures of mountain climbing at day time and at night, I want to know….

    Do they have ticks? 🙂

Well, I'm not sure about on this particular island, but on another, nearby, Indonesian island, one of my friends got Lyme disease… 😦 Thankfully she's back to full health now. 🙂
