N is for Never Give Up

For the A to Z challenge this year, I’m posting about one of my favorite things: Living the life you were born to live. I’ve been so blessed with a family that constantly encourages me and builds me up and I want to pass that along to y’all! I’ll be traveling a lot during the month, so some of the posts are scheduled ahead of time and answering comments might take some time. I’ll try and keep up though. Thanks for stopping by!

N is for Never Give Up

Believe me, there are times to ‘give up’. When I say Never Give Up, that’s not meaning across the board. Sometimes we’ll realize that our goals are unrealistic or that we’re not headed in the right direction. If that’s the case, then by all means, cut your losses and move on.

But when you know what you need to do, when you know where you’re headed in life, that’s the time to never, ever give up. Even when times get hard, you can still push through. Even when you feel alone and discouraged, keep putting one foot in front of the other and eventually, you’ll begin to see the results you’ve been working for.

One huge thing that separates “successful” people from “unsuccessful” people is that the successful people keep going. Even when life gets hard and they want to quit, they don’t. So when times get hard, look for that bright spot in the future and keep fighting. You can live the life God created you for!

This is a great reminder for everyone. When I think about giving up, I'm reminded of the opening scene of the Disney remake of “My Favorite Martian.” It opens up showing the Mars rover vehicle and it hits some rough terrain that it isn't able to navigate, it stalls and shuts down. Then the camera moves ahead a little bit and just over the ridge is a lively Martian city that looks similar to Las Vegas. (Disclaimer: I don't recommend seeing the movie. Or at least do it with some caution. There is some mature things in the movie that you wouldn't expect from Disney.) However, it's often the same with people who give up. I would rather try for something all my life and it never happen than to think of how close I may have been but didn't make it because I gave up. Hope your travels are going good, Aidyl. Be safe. 😉
