We live two hours away from the airport, and since we were flying out early this morning, we decided to spend the last night at a hotel so there would be less chance of problems that would cause us to miss our flights, etc…

Can you see the difference between the clouds and snow-capped mountains? |
About the time we were finishing packing yesterday, I went to get my passport, because it’s the only photo ID that I have at this time. I can’t remember the last time I looked at the expiration date – probably soon after I got it, which happens to be to have been March 9th, 2007….

I didn’t get to sit by the window, but I did get to look out of them some. So cool! |
Which means that my passport expired in March, and therefore I didn’t have any current photo ID! I can’t tell you how happy I am that we saw it before we had left town so I could run in and get some picture ID. I mean, I would have hated to find out at the airport that I couldn’t board! I keep thanking God that we noticed in time. =)

We’re at the airport in Los Vegas right now with a two hour layover. Not a place I’d like to spend a lot of time, but it’s cool to be able to check Nevada off my list of places I’ve been… Even if only from the airport. 😉

Patchwork Land Below Us =-) |
It’s strange with the time difference and all. According to the time here, it’s 11:45 a.m., whereas at home it’s 2:45 p.m.! I guess it also seems bigger since I got up around five this morning, and according to the clock, that was less than six hours ago. I like traveling so much! The first time I ever ‘traveled into a different time zone’ was when I was nine, and we went to Canada. It was only an hour difference, but I was so incredibly excited about it! I still find it pretty fun. I know, weird me.
I generally travel by air a couple times a year. How about you? Have you ever traveled by plane? Do you enjoy it?
