It’s 8:34 Monday morning and so far I’ve: Gotten caught up on my Bible reading plan, done two loads of laundry, worked on my emails from the weekend, worked some on Bookstagram, drank a delightfully delicious mug of coffee, and crawled under my bed to retrieve my glasses that I dropped last night.
It’s 10:39 and I’ve: Edited some on the 25th draft of my book, Googled “what’s it called when you take someone’s work” because I couldn’t think of the word plagiarism, written my goals for the week, gone for a three-mile walk/jog, made my brother breakfast, swung in a misty rain, worked on getting some mail ready to send to the post office with my mom, and made plans for the rest of the day.
It’s 12:08 and I’ve: Washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, eaten Brussel sprouts for breakfast (because they’re the best), and then sat at the counter and edited while listening to the lunch I made simmering away on the stove.
Mondays are my second favorite day of the week. They call out to me, whispering promises about new beginnings and reminding me that I have a whole week stretching in front of me, just waiting to be filled up, invested in, and conquered.
Today is Monday, and that makes me happy. Today is the Monday during the week of Thanksgiving, and that makes me even happier. I hope y’all have an utterly delightful day, and while you’re at it, I’d be delighted to hear what your favorite part of Monday is?
My favorite part of Monday is that its only 4 more days until the weekend 😂😂
Seriously though, I love that it means God has given me another week to live and learn.

Leslie Wozniak’s Cat, YES! I agree with that. I mean, the second part of the comment, not the first. 😉

Is Sunday your favorite day of the week? I like going back to college on Monday because I tend to get restless on the weekend. Thursday might be my favorite day because the weekend is coming, but there’s still time to get stuff done during the week. You really manage to get a lot done in a few hours! 🙂

Haha, yes! Sunday is my favorite day of the week, at least when I’m home. When I’m gone it’s probably my least favorite day of the week. 🙂
Thursday is a pretty good day, too. Especially this week. 😉

One of my favorite parts of Monday is sleeping in because I stayed up too late on Sunday… Not a very good answer, but it is the truth, and my other favorite part is getting to spend all day with my amazing Mom.

Ah, sleeping in on Mondays sounds pretty delightful. 🙂 I don’t generally, but I sometimes do depending on what I did during the weekend, etc…

I love what you say about Mondays! Because it’s such a beautiful perspective to have. I normally love starting the work week, too. It just feels good to get back to it all . . . but I love my Sabbath, too. Yet without the work week my Sabbath wouldn’t feel half as rewarding.

Yes! That’s one reason I like Monday’s so much – because I don’t do stuff on my computer, etc… on Sunday, and that’s all nice and good, but by the time Monday arrives I’m ready to dive back into work.
