Today and Tomorrow

Yesterday my boss texted to give me my schedule and asked if I was ready to get back to work, and I wasn’t. I replied that I would be by the time I got home.

This morning, my last full day on vacation, I woke up at 5:00 with my mind running rampant with ideas of what I wanted to/needed to do when I got home. Since it was too early to text anyone about projects I have on my plate back in Ohio, I began composing the texts in my head. As I tried to drift back to sleep I kept seeing various things in my head – the small garden I want to plant, the seeds as I drop them into the holes, the laundry I didn’t have time to get out of the dryer before I left, exactly where in my room I want to move my CD player to….

Today I’m enjoying one last day of vacation before heading back to normal life. (Whatever that is…) I went out and watched the sunrise this morning. I’m about to leave to have quality time with my mom and sisters. I plan to hop, skip, and dance through today enjoying it thoroughly and soaking it all in.

Then tomorrow? Tomorrow I’ll head home and jump into summer with vigor.

Have a wonderful last day of vacation, Lydia! Those pictures are so pretty, it sounds so cool to watch the sunrise. I’m never awake early enough for that. πŸ™‚

I’m not generally awake early enough to watch the sunrise either – at least not on vacation. πŸ™‚ It was worth it though!

Thank you! This summer is going to be hugely busy, but I’m already looking forward to all the great memories that I’m going to be making. πŸ˜‰
