longest…. hmmm…. it would probably be a book like Pride & Prejudice, which I picked up a couple years ago and then let sit for a loooonnng time before I finally went back to reading it.

Well, I’m still not finished with “Billy Budd, Sailor, and Other Stories” because I only needed to read the first part of it (the Billy Budd part) and I didn’t care to read the rest. I still have my bookmark in it, though, so I want to finish it someday! But that doesn’t really count, because I can’t tell you ‘how long’ because there’s not a ‘how long’ yet. I generally finish books within a few weeks, (usually within one) so if I take a long time, it’s because I took a break. I think I took a while reading a Kidsboro book.

Ah yes, I’ve done that before. This year I bought a book bundle – an ebook with five short books in it. I read the first four but never plan on reading the 5th, cause it’s not the kind of book I enjoy. I generally finish books within days or weeks, but sometimes I set them aside and don’t come back for years. #oops

Congratulations on your publishing, woohoo! confetti Oh, longest reading time… that would have to be the Hobbit. Bought it a year or so back and still haven’t finished it?? 😛 That must be because I’m so distracted with books, I had some ten on my TBR this month, including WDG. 🙂

Probably like two to three months. It was a book that was SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND and I really wasn’t enjoying it, but I made it a goal to finish it! xD

Um… the longest it has taken me to read a book is probably a year. 😛 It wasn’t very interested so I stopped for awhile.

Yay! It’s finally released! Squeals Congratulations! My pre-order arrived this morning and I started reading it straight away!:D
Let me see…the longest it’s ever taken me to finish a long book would probably be around five-six months. David Copperfield was one of those, and so was Great Expectations and Mansfield Park 🙂

YAY!!! I am SO happy to hear that! This is my first book that has been out for pre-order on Kindle, so it’s so special to know that it was delivered straight to people’s devices this morning. And that’s great that you started reading it already. 🙂
Hmmm…. I think I spent a year or so reading A Tale of Two Cities. I think I enjoyed it, but I’m not sure I ever even finished it….

Longest time it’s taken me to read a book? Well my family started reading The Hobbit in October 2015, and we dropped it and still haven’t finished it. Oops! And I started Heaven by Randy Alcorn early this year, and still have quite a big chunk to go due to reading it rather intermittently. 😀 It’s a very good book though, so I really ought to get back to it!

Yes, and the longest it’a taken me to ever finish a book is probably maybe two to three days. Even the hard ones. Tale of Two cities and Great Expectations took me the longest, like three days, reading all evening, but I’m still listening to the audio book of The Mysterious Island. Does that count?

The longest I’ve taken to read a book is… covers face in shame Probably two or three years! I used to have trouble with southern or British slang writing, so that really made me put books back away!! XD

Hmm…as to your question, the longest book I’ve read that’s taken me the longest to read is a book called “To the Golden Shore”. It’s the story of missionary Adoniram Judson and it’s over 500 pages. It took me a while to get through, for sure!

That is a LONG book! It would take me a while to get that, too! Although I really like nonfiction, it always seems to take longer for me than fiction.

Hmm I think the longest time I have taken to read a book was…. a month. Hahaha I read it, stopped, read some other stuff, then came back and read it.

And wow, good job with reading so fast. I read a lot of books quickly, but some take a lot longer for me to really get into, so I keep setting them aside for other books.
