A Few of My Favorite Things

Happy Monday, y’all!

If you haven’t been able to tell by the excessive amounts of posts about Echoes, I’ve been very much enjoying working on tweaking, problem solving, brainstorming, and world building. *cue happiness for being an author*

Since today is the first day of Spring (!!!) I decided to take a break from blogging about Echoes, and instead write a posts of favorites. I also figured that might be nice cause Noveltea has had a lot of new followers recently (THANK YOU!), and when I follow a blog I find it quite interesting to hear random things about the blog’s author.

Happy first day of spring! I was so happy to hear that stuffed animals were on your list of favorites – me too! (As well as sparkly socks, and late at night. I’ll never know why I come up with my best ideas when I should be asleep!) Pet skunks…are you ever planning to acquire one? 🙂

Ah yes! I’m glad we agree on what some of the best things are. 🙂 As for a pet skunk… Well, owning one would be a dream come true! I currently live with my family, and my mom isn’t exactly eager for a skunk in the house, so I probably won’t get one any time soon. 😉

Hi! I saw the title of this post and instantly remembered Sound of Music where they sing “These are a few of my favorite things!” haha. My little sister was actually playing some of that music this morning. 🙂

I’m glad to see Tennessee among your favorite States to visit! Yay! 😀

Hmm….a few of my favorite things…I’ll give five.

    Time with family
    Deep, blue, cloudless skies
Pretty weather and the smell of freshly cut grass
    Reading a wonderful book
And one of my favorite things I get to do today is catch up on your blog! 🙂

    Have a great day!

Yes! One of my best friends is staying with me, and she kept singing the song as I wrote the post. 🙂
Ah yes! Those favorite things make me happy indeed, too! Thank you for sharing them with us. And catching up on the blog? YAY! Thank you for being such a dedicated reader and commenting so often. That’s very much something that’s a favorite of mine, too. 🙂

One of your favorite countries you’ve visited is the same as my favorite countries I’ve visited! Hehe. That would be Indonesia. I’ve only actually visited one foreign country so far.

I love 10,000 Reasons – one of my favorite worship songs ever. That’s the one I usually think of to sing when I’m feeling frustrated or upset, and want to take the opportunity to praise God anyway. 🙂

I hadn’t heard The Fast – do you listen to much Don Francisco? Ditto Keep Walkin’; I was mildly astonished when I found out you were a T-Mac fan. 🙂

And along these lines, I will share a few of the favorite songs I’ve listened to recently: King of Love (I Am They), The Lord is My Salvation (Keith & Kristyn Getty, and Baba Yetu (Peter Hollens). (And in case you’re wondering about that last one, it’s a video game theme, but it happens to be the Lord’s Prayer in Swahili.)

10,000 Reasons is a song our church sings every once in a while, and it always makes me incredibly happy when we do. I like your idea of singing it while frustrated or upset. =)

The Fast is probably my favorite Don Francisco song – I could listen to it for hours on end. I don’t listen to a ton of Don Francisco now, but growing up I listened to it quite a lot. (By the way, The Fast is taken from the same chapter in Isaiah where i58 got it’s name.)

And yes, Toby Mac is one of my favorite singers; I listen to his music a lot. 😉

Thank you for sharing those songs. I just was listening to them as I answered comments. =)
