These Delightful Days

Happy Monday Morning, Y’all! This week I’ve got a wonderfully packed schedule. You know, things to do, people to see, bags to pack, places to go, that type of thing. Lord willing this weekend I’ll be heading down to Florida to get ready for annual business meetings that we host down there. It’s  a lot of work, but work I most throughly enjoy. And, on the way, happiness of happiness, I will hopefully get to meet my newest niece.

Since I’ll be skipping out of winterish weather (and I really like winter weather) for the next (nearly) three weeks, I was looking forward to enjoying it this week. Crazily enough, the low for this week is 34 degrees. What in the world? Instead of snow and brilliant blue skies it’s a dreary, overcast world which makes it look autumn-ish, and a drab kind of beautiful that I actually like, too.

The second half of last week was delightful. I hung out with some lovely friends who I hadn’t seen in over two years. They stopped by our house while traveling through the area, and we might have stayed up until the wee hours of the morning so we could pack in as much visiting time as possible.

Then Friday evening one of the girls I grew up with (and who has been a co-worker for the last several years), had a beautiful bridal shower. It was fun to get to spend the evening with a lot of the girls who I grew up with. We still connect on a regular basis, but our get-together times aren’t nearly as often as they used to be – which means our times together are that much more special now.

On the way to the bridal shower I had a lovely time hanging out with my next-oldest sister, we weren’t in a hurry so we stopped for coffee and just sat in the car for an hour or so visiting. She and I are pretty close, and she’s a very helpful person to talk over life with.

Over the weekend I had a delightful time having delightful, deep chatting conversations with multiple friends like Hosanna and Kaitlyn. Plus, I also had several long, peaceful, lovely talks with my best friends, Sarah. My brother stopped by one night, and we had fun catching up. So over all, last week was an extremely good people-connecting week for me. It made me realize (again) how very thankful I am for all the people God has placed in my life. All the visiting made me get a bit behind on my querying process, but I’m hoping to catch up with that this week.

What about y’all? What are some of the highlights from your last week?

How fun! I know chatting with you was definitely one of the highlights of my week. 🙂 That and having fun making memories with the little kids and running the house for the week while my mom was gone. (Glad she’s back now!) God is great at giving you what you need right when you need it, I have found….if we are willing to receive it! 🙂 Off to a new week now!
(By the way, love your new bio picture!)

And thank you! I’m glad you like it!
