For the A to Z challenge this year, I’m posting about one of my favorite things: Living the life you were born to live. I’ve been so blessed with a family that constantly encourages me and builds me up and I want to pass that along to y’all! I’ll be traveling a lot during the month, so some of the posts are scheduled ahead of time and answering comments might take some time. I’ll try and keep up though. Thanks for stopping by!
Y is for Yesterday…
It seems like so many people regret their yesterdays. Do you know what though? There’s nothing we can do now about the way we lived our lives before this moment (except make wrongs right when possible), so there’s no reason to continually beat yourself up. Just decide that from now onward, it will be different.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Today is the time for new beginnings. You can make changes today that will last the rest of your life. Learn from your past, but don’t live in your past.
True, Aidyl! Very true. “Yesterday does not define you!”
Just recently in our girls Bible Study group, we were talking about how we need to let go of the past and know we are forgiven. We talked about Paul – he had helped in the murdering of Christians. Helped against the purpose he was later for. He had every reason to feel so weighed down by guilt – and though he said he was the lowliest of sinners, he pressed on despite it because he knew he was forgiven. He's a great example!

Great post, Aidyl. You are so right. Philippians 3:13-14 says: “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” <
Have a great day!

To quote Alice Morse Earle: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the 'present.'”
