The Life of Aidyl

I’m writing this post at 11:06, Saturday night. I opened my computer for the first time today just a few minutes ago. That, my friends, means today was a very busy day! I hardly ever go that long without typing, except on Sundays. 🙂
You know how Madalyn in When Life Hands You Lymes  has been getting ready for a conference at work? Well, that kinda parallels with my life at work right now, except we don’t have 500 people, I don’t work for an airline, and I’m not handling the situation like Madalyn at all. In reality, it’s pretty much only the same as far as it being a work conference hosted by our family business. That’s enough though. 🙂

It’s been cold and rainy today, but tonight ushered in a beautiful sunset. Now it’s all foggy outside. I’m on the 18th floor as I type, which is really high up, y’all! I’m not normally up nearly this high. Kinda freaky. My adopted parents joined us here today, which was great! I had so much fun hanging out with them and talking to them tonight.

We’ve been gone from home for two weeks now, and I miss my brother and my dog. I know, I know, it’s not nice to put the two of them together, but it’s true. Thankfully, my brother is on a group text group with my sisters and me and a friend. That makes it fun. Sadly, my dog doesn’t really enjoy texting, so we didn’t add her to the group. :-/

I’ve been working on scheduling posts for the A to Z challenge that takes place in April. I really wanted to join in with the fun, but knew I would be traveling a lot of the month (Europe, here we come!). I started writing the posts in January, and wow… I think I should have started even earlier than that! I’ve got lots of other exciting stuff going on, blogging friends of mine, that I can’t wait to share with you soon.
I hope you’re enjoying your Sunday and I’d be delighted to have a little update from your life when I come back to the Internet world on Monday. Oh yes, and thanks for your patience with me replying to comments. The Internet has been kinda bad this trip, which is a bummer. Your comments make me happy, though, so please, keep them coming!

When I was in high school(in Houston, TX), my best friend and guitarist in my band had a girlfriend who lived on the 23rd floor of her building. O.O I love being in buildings like that. One of the coolest heights experiences was when we had a vacation in St. Louis and toured the Gateway Arch. The “surreal” moment is when we were up on the observation deck of the Arch, and their was a helipad on the bank of the Mississippi River where they were giving helicopter tours(well not giving so much as selling), but I watched as the helicopter took off and didn't get anywhere near as high as we were. I'm enjoying reading about your time in Florida. I hope you continue having a good time.
