Brace-less Me – Sugar-filled Me

Yesterday it happened. I got my braces off. And then to celebrate, I ate sugar for the first time in almost 13 months. It was crazy. And amazing. And something I don’t plan on doing again any time soon. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you want to see some updates of my wonderful sugary afternoon and evening, you can check out my Google+ page. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (Thanks for the suggestion of eating some treats, Evan!)

My whole day kinda felt weird. First off, getting the braces off was way easier and less painful than I had thought. In fact, the actual taking them off part was so quick I had no clue that he was done until he showed me the braces. Then, when I got home I was thinking I needed to do somethingย special. That’s when it hit me I should eat sugar. My mom had been saying she didn’t want me to go two years without sugar, because I can get a little extreme and balance is something I’m working on. So I was like “Today I should eat sugar!” After I decided to do it, I ran around the house like crazy, pulling out all sorts of sweets I’d been wanting to have, including a few I’d saved since Christmas. Then I Facetimed my amazing cousin and dove into the sugary world with a delicious cookie. That was followed by a small piece of pie, some little cookies, white hot chocolate and lots and lots of candy. My brother even let me eat whatever I wanted from a box of candy one of his friends had sent him. It was amazing. I ended the day with some scrumptious noodles. Yes, noodles are a huge treat!

I told myself at the beginning of the year that I was allowed to have a moderate amount of sugar one day a week and save up the days if I didn’t use them. I’m not planning on having sugar every week, but I’ll allow myself the treat if I want to. I must say, celebrating with sugar was a very fun thing to do. ๐Ÿ™‚

We are leaving for Florida in just a little bit, and I don’t have time to get the When Life Hands You Lymesย story up before then, so I’ll do that once we’re on the road.

Btw, can I use the Pics of your old office for my contest entry. if i can't use those pics it is o.k. The pics of your barn office would make good illustrations for where the main character of my story spends much time in. And yes, your barn office was the inspiration for The discription of the hang out of the main girl in my book's hang out. Oh, if you want a digital copy of my book once it is puiblished i will sell my book for 99 cents

Not that your smile wasn't beautiful before, but you look great without the braces. It makes you look a little closer to your age. I glad for you. I know you're happy to be done with them. At least, I've never known anyone to have their braces out say, “I really wish I had those back in.”

Awesome, Aidyl! Very excited for you! Your teeth look great – and you've always had a beautiful smile. But I do agree with David – makes you look a little closer to your age. Always a cool thing, right? Until you get old anyway. ๐Ÿ˜‰
