January 1st, 2014

January 1st, 2014 has dawned. A year spread in front of us full of blank pages we can fill. In reality, I don’t know if I will live to the end of today, or until the end of 2014, or until the end of 2084. God is the only One who knows the beginning from end. I don’t find that scary though, because I have the amazing privilege of being His daughter, His princess, and I know He loves me more than anyone here on earth can possibly love someone. Therefore, I’m excited about these new days spreading in front of me, waiting to be turned into the pages of history.
I want to do something great with these next 365 days, not just because I want to do something great, but because God created me to do great things. Without Him, I am nothing. Through Him, I am more than a human, I am a child of God. With His power and help, I can do any task He sets before me. And that gives me the courage, desire, passion and strength to go on.
What about you? Are you going to look back next week, month, year or at the end of your life and wish you had done more? Remember, it’s never too late to start. The only better time to have begun would have been before now. If that isn’t an option, don’t let regret, doubt, or lack of drive keep you back. Seek God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, then get out there and make the change God created you for. Don’t let average and ordinary be words that describes you. Get out there and live like the child of the King and Creator of all.

Great post and awesome song selection, Lydia!! I can't wait to see what God has in store for 2014. With all that's going on in the world, the world is in need of big things from God and the cool part is it will be us, His children, that He uses to bring them about. I hope you're 2014 is off to a blessed and exciting start.
