Interview – Heather Manning

You guessed it, another Go Teen Writer, writing friend. =) Please welcome Heather Manning!

About you…

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hello! I am Heather Manning, a young author who is a proud member of ACFW. I live in Kansas City, Missouri, where I attend high school, act in community theatre, eat donuts, and read every Inspirational Historical Romance I can get my hands on. =) My novel, Swept to Sea, will be published in the near future. Be sure to follow me on my blog: http://heathermauthor.blogspot.com/ and twitter: https://twitter.com/HeatherM_Author

What is one of your favorite quotes?
Good question. I always see all these amazing quotes, and then someone asks me this question, and my mind goes completely blank. Here’s one that I like: “Dwarves? Dwarves are very upsetting.” –from the musical Into the Woods.

What is one of your favorite authors?

Do I really have to pick just one? Well, I will narrow it down to a few: Mary Connealy, MaryLu Tyndall, and Deeanne Gist.

About writing….

What genera do you write?
I write Inspirational Historical Romance. It’s what I read the most, and what I write the most.

On a scale of 1-10, how serious are you about writing? (1= Writing is fun. 10 = I would die if I couldn’t spend several hours a day on my writing.)
All the above sometimes. But probably an eight. I would say 1, because writing is very fun for me, but I am serious about it. I don’t always get the chance to write several hours a day, but I do like to write as much as I can.

When you’re writing do you…

Eat? If so, what?
Random snacks. My favorites are Junior Mints.

Listen to music? If so, what?
I listen to show tunes and The Band Perry and Carrie Underwood songs when I am writing.
If you could….
Go back in time, what time period would you visit?
The (pretty much fictional) future, where I could get myself a time machine to travel back and forth from all of my favorite time periods. LOL Some of my favorites: Victorian, Wild West, Ancient Egypt, early Twentieth Century.

Go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to go to England again, but really, where I would like to go most would be Disney World. No, every Disney park in the world. Yes. =)

Would you rather…

Drink hot tea or iced tea?
Iced tea, especially if it is chai tea. That’s my favorite.

Visit friends or read a book?
Depends on which friends … and which book. =)

Do you consider yourself…

An inside or outside person?
An inside person. Definitely. You do not want to see me eating outside, dodging bugs with wind blowing my hair in my face. Not my idea of a fun time. And I am glad I haven’t gone camping. The outdoors are beautiful, but I would like them better if I were in a little glass bubble to look at them. =)

Thank you, Heather! It was great having you on Noveltea.

Heather, I like the energy! 😀 I have never tried Iced Chai Tea. Thought it was only good hot – now must try. Good interview!
