My dad and I have been talking for a while about writing a series of books that have to do with success principles, goals, habits, etc… And I’m happy (and a bit nervous) to announce the the time has come for me to sit down and do it. Just do it, girl!
So now I’m working on the brainstorming. The books won’t be very long, maybe between 25,000 and 35,000 words a piece. Then we’re going to turn them into audio books as well. (We have all the necessary equipment from Dad’s business to do the audio, and we’ve done some stuff like this before as well, so we have the experience. It’s still quite a task to bite into though.)
I’ll let ya’ll know what I’m thinking, because then maybe you can give me some input or advice or whatever you want to call it.
- There are going to be two main characters, a guy and a girl, both of them around 18
- I’m thinking the girl’s name will be McKenzie and the guy can be… Ideas, anyone?
- The girl works at a business retreat place in the summer where small company’s can bring their staff for meetings. Her family owns it and she’s head chef (Side Note: This parallels with my life working at a private retreat center)
- McKenzie’s cousin (enter: guy) comes to work there for the summer
Wow, sounds like fun! Especially Audiobooks! Awesome. Are you going to do the reading? One day I hope to do the reading for an audiobook, possibly my own when I find out how. So fun! 🙂
Boy names… Loren, Sam, Dean, Nathan, Caleb, Shawn, Pierre, Wyatt, Wayne, Wade, Zane…
