V is for Value

When someone is sick for a long time, they learn to value little things. Something as small as not taking a nap one day or getting to go to a friends birthday party and actually lasting through the whole thing can become big accomplishments.

A lot of our happiness depends on what we value. If you only find value through monetary pleasures, there’s a good chance that you aren’t a truly happy person. Yet if you can find value in things like: *Knowing that God loves you and has a plan for your life
*That you are able to reason and think
*That you don’t have to stay where you are right now, you have the ability to change
*That you can earn money and then do great, fun, and life-changing things with it
*That you have hope
Then your life will be a lot richer and more full than if you don’t find value in areas like that. And yes, this is going back to one of my all time favorite subjects of mindset. =)

Some of the things I’m valuing at this time in my life are:
*The time I’ve been spending listening to the Bible on my phone
*Getting to spend quality time with my family
*Working on writing books with my adopted parents
*Knowing that with hard work, I am able to improve my health
*That I only took one nap today… Yep, that’s a big thing for me right now!

    Those are great things to find value in! For me: Christ, Family, Hard Work, and other people. I just love people. 🙂

    Some of the thing I value lately… Getting to have some great talks with one of my really good friends, Being inspired to write when I sit down to do it, Having my Bible and Daily Light, and music that encourages me, Being able to have free time alot lately just to read, write, think and pray, Getting started piano class again and seeing some progress in my playing….
