Today

Sometimes I get so busy with life, that I feel like I’m just running, running, running, not stopping enough to really enjoy it. I have a check list that I want to be able to look at and think ‘wow, I’ve accomplished a lot today’, but I also want to be able to think back on the day and remember the little things. Spending time with my family. Reading something meaningful. Doing random bits of kindness for ‘no reason’.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill

I have decided that it doesn’t take a lot to make someone happy, when they want to be happy; and it’s extremely hard to make someone happy who doesn’t want to be. Pretty much, that means that you, and not your situation determines to what extent you experience life. (You get what I’m saying, right? I’m not saying that happiness is the goal, ‘cause it’s not…) And if that’s the case, why not do something today to make a difference? Instead of focusing on what’s going on in your life that you wished you could change, but can’t, start thinking about the things in life you enjoy or are worthwhile.

“Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Abraham Lincoln

Today does make a difference, and you can make a difference today. You don’t need to just sit around, waiting, dragging through your life because it isn’t what you want it to be. You aren’t a victim of your life or circumstances. Your family, health, wealth and situation in life doesn’t determine your sphere of influence or the heights you can climb to. You might have to work harder than other people, but that’s no excuse. Anyone who has gotten anywhere in this world has had to work hard. Go ahead and start making a difference today!

If you looked at your stats and got super excited because you got like 15 views today, it was me. Procrastinating. Procrastinating taking 5 tests and doing 12 worksheets in Chemistry and taking 2 math tests. All of which are due on Friday, so I should really stop this vicious cycle of procrastination.
Thank you for supporting my evil habit 😉
