Peru

About a year and a half ago, I was thrilled to get to spend two months
in the mountains of Peru, South America. I had an amazing time there!

One of the girls I was with was a photographer, and so she took the pictures.
I’m so glad I have those pictures!
The time there went pretty fast, and sometimes I’m like,
“Did I really do all those things?”
then I look back and see the pictures, and I know I did. =)

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,
to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
(Colossians 3:15)
At times it was stressful, but I never regretted going.
There were so many people in need.
Living in an adobe (dirt) house was a new experience for me, but I throughly enjoyed it. One of my jobs was to sweep the floor…
That could get confusing since I wasn’t supposed to sweet up all the dirt,
since the floor was dirt!
I had to splash water on the floor before I swept it, so I didn’t get too much dirt.
Weird, right?
Life was so different there. I think I have a much broader view of life since my trip. Thank you Mom and Dad for letting me go!

That's amazing and so neat! We went to China to adopt my little brother, Luke. Other than that, I've never been out of the states, but I'm hoping to go back to China for a mission trip. 🙂

    God bless you!
    Joy 🙂
