Not long ago my brother bought a boat! Goodness, do you realize how many story ideas can come from skimming over the water with the wind blowing your hair until it’s an unruly mess and the breeze throwing freezing bits of spray into your face?
Yesterday morning David – my brother – told me he would take me boating on a river near our house. I was surprised at how few boats we passed on the river. Seriously, it was a totally beautiful day for boating, at least I think it was!
Can you believe it, David actually let me drive a good part of the time! I can tell you, it was marvelously enjoyable and entertaining. Not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be, although I do confess I went a lot slower than he had been going.
I’m so thankful for the brothers that I have. Siblings make life so exciting! At least they do around here. Thank you David for the boat ride!

And… For any of you who were wondering: I ended up being up in the barn until after 12:30 last night. I’m happy to say we have two healthy (and rather large) buck kids. 😉
