Here I am, sitting at my desk, eating leftover stew for breakfast, thinking about how fair (or should I say ‘unfair’?) it is. You all get to get on my blog, hear all about what’s going on with me and my writing, but then I don’t get to return the favor. I don’t know about you, but I like it when I can learn something knew about someone, especially if I’ve been reading their blog.
So here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to write down five random things about me, and any of you who want to can comment with a few random things of your own, or just your blog address and I’ll head on over and check your blog out. =)
My Random List:
1. In front of my desk I have a wall covered with picture frames with pictures and quotes in them. Idea inspired by my eldest sister and my wonderful cousin (find my cousin’s blog here).
2. I have this ‘thing’ with middle names. I would ask everyone their middle name if that wasn’t considered kinda weird. Someday when I meet someone new, and I’m shaking their hand, instead of saying “Hi, my name’s Aidyl, what’s yours?” I want to say “Hi, my middle name is Joy, what’s your middle name?” I wonder what they’d say? And yes, my middle name is Joy.
3. I like to leave my windows open all winter long.
4. Pretzels, cheese and baby dill pickles is my favorite snack.
5. My half-birthday is tomorrow.
Ok, that was more fun than I thought it would be. I hope you all have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
hehe, thanks for stopping by our nest.. and yes, he is a BIG baby! I feel the same as you.. wishing I could talk personally and know every reader better.
I actually have a series of posts with the same notion as you here:

Hmmm, five things. I wish I could quit full time work and be a stay at home mom. I want to start a vintage camera collection. I always thought I'd be an interior designer when I grew up. Green is my favorite color. I don't share my real name, but if I could have any middle name in the world: I'd choose the name “Madeline”.

I'm Rebekah Elizabeth Badger, but everyone calls me Becki, so I shorten my middle name to Beth whenever I say my full name. For one thing, Becki Beth Badger sounds less dorky than Becki Elizabeth Badger (although I have been called that). That's one random thing.
2. I love quirky first names. Yours is awesome. How do you pronounce it?
3. I graduated high school two days before my fifteenth birthday.
4. I absolutely LOVE organizing things. It makes me happy, and I'm never bored.
5. I love rainy/cloudy days. They always make me feel like something exciting is going to happen. It's days like this (it's cloudy out) that I wish we had an attic.

I grew up with a stay-at-home mom, and it was great! I think Madeline is a very beautiful name. Madeline Grace… Maybe I’ll use that name for a character sometime. =)

My first name is pronounced sort of like ‘A-dole’. Does that make sense?
I’m never bored either; but I’m not really into organizing stuff.
Ooo… Wanting an attic on a rainy day? I think we’ve all been influenced by books and movies, ‘cause I want one too! =)
